The Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) at 142 W. 5th Street in Cookeville, Tennessee rests squarely in the center of the Upper Cumberlands in middle Tennessee and has been serving local residents since 1950. The hospital provides in-patient, out-patient, rehabilitation, and emergency care in addition to many other special medical services. CRMC has over 140 professional physicians that provide exceptional medical care in over 36 specialties.
The Heart Center is a rapidly growing division of CRMC with some of the finest practicing cardiologists in the country that are dedicated to bringing quality cardiac care close to home. Since 1994, more than 21,000 heart catheterizations have been performed, along with over 2,100 open-heart surgeries and a full range of countless other cardiac procedures and services.
Cardiovascular surgery, angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, echocardiograms, nuclear cardiac imaging, stress testing, pacemaker implantation, 24-hour cardiac services, comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program, and community education programs are all active and on-going at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

The North Patient Tower construction project at CRMC was completed in late 2008 and includes all-private patient rooms, six-stories, and 228,000 square feet. This $85 million investment marks a new era for health care in the Upper Cumberland area and is one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken in the region.
The new patient tower also includes an expanded Cancer Center, expanded intensive care and cardiovascular care units, and expanded cardiac step down unit, and a grand new main entrance.
