In February each year the American Heart Association sponsors "Go Red For Women" Day.  Heart disease and stroke are the greatest health threats women face, but only 13 percent of American women realize it.  The goal is to raise awareness among women of heart disease threats to their health by visibly wearing red clothing.  Anything red goes . . . dress, blouse, scarf, pin, handbag, shoes . . . well, you get the idea.  Cookeville Chapter 127, of Mended Hearts, Inc., supports "Go Red" through displays, local programs, and media coverage.
