Health Fairs
As a part of Chapter 127's public outreach and education program, volunteer members participate in local and regional health fairs at county health departments, schools, fairs, and special events by establishing display booths and by providing information and educational materials concerning the mission of Mended Hearts, Inc., and the resources and services available.
Health fairs provide excellent informal opportunities for the general public to discuss specific cardiac concerns with volunteers within your own community who have likely been through similar cardiac events.

Chapter 127 member and heart transplant recipient, Sherry Shockley, is also active in supporting Tennessee Donor Services at Health Fairs. Mended Hearts, Inc. is associated with and actively supports other cardiac support groups and organizations both on a national and local level.
