Purpose And Objectives of Mended Hearts, Inc.
Mended Hearts, Inc., Chapter 127 is an all-volunteer support network of heart patients, families, and caregivers who are available to offer support before, during, and after a heart-related medical crisis.
It is a chance to "give back" from personal experiences and fulfill the Mended Hearts slogan, "It is great to be alive, and to help others."
Volunteers do not give medical advice, but do answer lots of questions that even medically-trained physicians sometimes cannot answer completely. For they are not only living examples of the wonders of modern medicine, but the assurance that life after heart surgery can be active and even more productive and fulfilling.

| · | Distributing information and equipment of specific educational medical value to members and to heart disease patients and families |
| · | Establishing and maintaining an integral program of assistance to physicians, nurses, medical professionals, and health care organizations in their work with heart disease patients |
| · | Cooperating with other organizations, such as the American Heart Association, in education and research activities pertaining to heart disease |
| · | Assisting in heart disease rehabilitation programs |
| · | Planning and conducting programs of social and educational interest for cardiac patients, families, caregivers and the general public |
