Silent Auction

In support of Chapter 127 programs, a "Silent Auction" is held annually at an educational room in the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  Chapter members solicit local individuals, businesses, and organizations for donated items that are then placed on auction.

Items are available for viewing throughout the day and bids are placed by entering a name and phone number on a bid sheet.  The person having the highest bid at the end of the auction is notified of their successful bid and can then be picked up and paid.

Local merchants have been extremely supportive of the local chapter of Mended Hearts as they are well aware of the efforts of local members by their patient visits, school education displays, media coverage, and other activities that are a direct benefit to the entire community.

The major portion of proceeds from the "Silent Auction" goes toward the purchase of AED's for the Cookeville and Cumberland area.  Because of cost-sharing in some cases, four or more AED's are sometimes purchased and donated as a direct benefit from auction sales.
